Hello and welcome to Foxx & Ginger Jewellery - a colourful, vintage inspired jewellery brand designed and handmade in Sydney, Australia.

My name is Emily, the designer & maker behind it all! I like singing, autumn and jumpsuits and have a slight addiction to cheese - it can be classed as a condiment, right?!

I’m originally from the North-West of England and went to University in London. I moved over to Australia in 2007 on a working holiday visa and never left!! I now live in Sydney with my flatmate (and occasional helper) Alyce and her dog Freddie Mercury - Freddie was the inspiration behind the Paw-Some Pets Collection!

 My full-time job is in television Post-Production and I’m also an occasional Burlesque Performer - the brand name actually comes from my performer name: Ginger Foxx! One of the reasons that I love performing burlesque so much is all the fabulous costumes and sparkles - this is also why I love working with mirror and glitter acrylics in my jewellery designs!

 I am a crime story enthusiast and tend to watch US & British crime dramas while I make jewellery. I’m currently mid-way through Silent Witness on Britbox. I also love a good period drama, especially anything Jane Austen inspired. I recently finished Sanditon and am obsessed with the Bridgerton series. What are your favourites?!

 I’ve recently been diagnosed with ADHD which explains a lot! I see it as a super power which enables me to be creative and be able to problem solve. I also use hyperfocus to my advantage when I am making (although I do need to set alarms to remind myself to eat and drink!!). I’m also a massive perfectionist, which can sometimes be a struggle when creating new designs as everything has to be just right!
