The Blooming Story: How a Snowdrop Walk inspired an entire Collection
Nature has a way of sparking ideas when we least expect it!
You know those moments when you least expect to be inspired, and then - bam! - something magical happens? That was me on a chilly winter morning in the UK, wandering through a snowdrop walk with my mum. The peaceful setting, the dainty little flowers popping up through the frost - it totally stole my heart and sparked the idea for a jewellery collection inspired by those sweet blooms.
The Beauty of Snowdrops
Snowdrops are the first brave little flowers to peek through as winter melts into spring. With their crisp white petals and gentle nodding heads, they’re symbols of hope, new beginnings, and quiet strength. Walking through a woodland filled with them felt like stepping into a fairytale. They’re so simple, yet so full of grace - it was impossible not to fall in love.

A Special Snowdrop for My Mum
Before it ever became a full collection, this whole idea actually started as something really personal - and it all began on that walk with my mum. Snowdrops are my mum’s absolute favourite flower - they’ve always held a special place in her heart. So originally, I wanted to design a snowdrop brooch just for her birthday. Something delicate and meaningful that she could wear and smile every time she saw it. That simple idea to make something for my mum sparked the sketches, the designs, and eventually the whole collection!
Bringing the Collection to Life

And just like that, the Snowdrop pieces were born. Every piece in this range was designed to reflect the quiet charm of the snowdrop, with delicate details and gentle movement. Some of my faves:
- Mini Snowdrop Hoops: Simple and elegant, featuring a single snowdrop on a gold hoop.
- Statement Earrings: These dangle just like the real thing - light, graceful, and full of charm.
- Brooch: Featuring a snowdrop posy, with multi-layered leaves, flowers with painted details and sparkly gold mirror accents.
But here’s the best part: once I started with snowdrops, I couldn’t stop! That one winter walk kicked off a whole blooming garden of ideas. Soon I was dreaming up pansies with their cheerful little faces, daffodils dancing like rays of sunshine, elegant irises, and colourful crocuses that pop up with so much personality. Each flower brought something unique to the table - and the collection just kept growing.

Made with Love
This whole project reminded me why I love what I do. Nature has this amazing way of helping us slow down, breathe, and really see the world around us. That snowdrop walk wasn’t just a stroll through the woods - it was a moment to reconnect, recharge, and let my creativity flow.
I really treasure walks with my mum, and also my whole family - whenever I’m back in England, we always try to squeeze in some countryside strolls. It’s our time to catch up, chat about everything and nothing, and just slow down together. Those walks mean the world to me, and they often end up being the most inspiring moments of all. That snowdrop walk wasn’t just a stroll through the woods - it was a moment to reconnect, recharge, and let my creativity flow.
Bringing these designs to life meant paying attention to every detail and trying to keep things as sustainable as possible - because if nature is our inspiration, it makes sense to treat her kindly, right?
A Little Flower Power for Your Jewellery Box
The Fabulous Florals Collection isn’t just about looking pretty - it’s about celebrating the quiet strength and beauty in all of us. Whether you’re buying for yourself or someone you love, each piece is a little wearable reminder that even the smallest things- like a snowdrop poking through the frost -can be completely magical.
Let’s Keep the Inspiration Flowing
So now I’m curious - have you ever found inspiration in nature? Maybe it was a walk, a garden, or even a single leaf that made you stop and smile. I’d love to hear your stories - pop them in the comments and let’s swap some flower-fuelled inspiration!
Thanks for being part of this creative journey with me. Here’s to finding beauty in the little things!
